This lens sticks out of the GoPro camera so it does not work in the waterproof housing and will throw the balance of most gimbals off if not re-balanced. This lens is primarily used when you require a more zoomed in image than the 5.4mm lens. Its most ideal for pointing straight down and used for surveying when mounted to an aerial platform. It is also used in other settings where you require the most zoomed in 4K-sharp lens currently available in the compact m12 lens mount package.
